An Imitator
This life feels like an eternity
Is it my punishment
For my past wrongs
Was I the deliverer of evil
The dealer of death
Is there really a darkness in my heart
A blackness in my soul
That has hurt others
Maybe I’m an imitator
Still an intimidator
Where is the grim reaper
Will give the keys to my keeper
If it meant I had some peace
Has life set out it’s revenge
Keeping me here in agony
I am no saint no knight either
My failings are glaring
They light the path behind me
Like cat eyes shining
Failure keeps chasing like a shadow
Is it my punishment
For my past wrongs
Was I the deliverer of evil
The dealer of death
Is there really a darkness in my heart
A blackness in my soul
That has hurt others
Maybe I’m an imitator
Still an intimidator
Where is the grim reaper
Will give the keys to my keeper
If it meant I had some peace
Has life set out it’s revenge
Keeping me here in agony
I am no saint no knight either
My failings are glaring
They light the path behind me
Like cat eyes shining
Failure keeps chasing like a shadow
