A new friend; Phoebus
Warm golden liquid
Splashing onto my face
Drenching me in its
rich depth
Blinding me, yet
giving me sight
Scorching me, yet I
glow in its light
As that beautiful, golden
tongue licks my tears, sponges my
face,it dries my salty
cheeks gently, softly
like a loyal
puppy.
A simple yet complex,
floating orange orb
in the sky.
Tis not alive
yet through it all life
exists. I stare and I do believe it stares back. We size each other up. I with intent and wide and curious eyes. It with blazing heat.
I close my eyes
as it dawns on me, that
I have,
in actual fact,
made a new friend.........
