Autumn Leaves

Autumn leaves and fragrant curls
Curves which light the day for me
A chance to know you that much better
Floating off into the sea

Eternal Mondays make me blue
Like yellow cars and flying mice
This aching head awaits my slumber
Darkest days await your light

Fly away now pleasant one
for nothing here fulfills your want
But stay close by for I'll be lonesome
Memories will merely taunt

My urge to grow is re-affirmed
By thoughts of time and misspent youth
Frolicsome nights and painful mournings
Refresh mine eyes to know the truth
