One Summer Day (String of haiku/senryu)
The silvery beams
Of the afternoon sunlight
Glow in a soft stream
It pierce the small gaps
Between the leaves refracting
Rays in hues of gold
I wish time stand still
While I sit and watch life moves
And flows around me
As life spreads her wand
On this warm bright sunlit day
To create magic
I tune my senses
To her soft subtle stirring
As the day moves on
The soft breeze blowing
Ruffling the leaves on the trees
Into gentle swaying
Birds in trees tweeting
Calling in clear sweet voices
On a sleepy day
Butterflies flitting
From grass to flowers to trees
Their wings fluttering
In a little while
The sun will set before me
Crossing the sea
To rise up again
In another horizon
In a different sky
Leaving me waiting
For the night to cover me
As I lay dreaming
And the moon will shine
Spilling luminous moonbeams
Lighting lonely night
Of the afternoon sunlight
Glow in a soft stream
It pierce the small gaps
Between the leaves refracting
Rays in hues of gold
I wish time stand still
While I sit and watch life moves
And flows around me
As life spreads her wand
On this warm bright sunlit day
To create magic
I tune my senses
To her soft subtle stirring
As the day moves on
The soft breeze blowing
Ruffling the leaves on the trees
Into gentle swaying
Birds in trees tweeting
Calling in clear sweet voices
On a sleepy day
Butterflies flitting
From grass to flowers to trees
Their wings fluttering
In a little while
The sun will set before me
Crossing the sea
To rise up again
In another horizon
In a different sky
Leaving me waiting
For the night to cover me
As I lay dreaming
And the moon will shine
Spilling luminous moonbeams
Lighting lonely night
