falling leaves
brilliant hues
scattered colours
on brown grass
as hearts
shards
broken
discarded
flower petals
strewn on coffin
on maws of dirt
goodbye showers
as love
dead
on vines
mourned
raindrops
cling on leaves
fall splash
to grass
as tears
rolling
down faces
betrayed
hush
book closed
empty pages
waiting.

I enjoyed the pathetic fallacy of the weather reflecting the inner mood of the poem. It was interesting to read the progression of a bleaker image at the beginning to a more positive message at the end with the book and the turning of the page.

This came out rather strong I think!!!
I agree with Missy, it has that strong bleakness, but finishes with hope as strength!!!
