family
what is family?
to me
it's for anyone who wants it
my arms are here for anyone who needs
forgive me if I been jaded
I never mean to push people away
hey, I do care
sure I can be a prick
but only to those spitting venom
I just brush that stuff to the side
maybe we had butted heads before
it doesn't matter
I'm quick to forgive and forget
no one is perfect
and these are trying times
all the world can be my brothers and sisters
to hell with any division
you don't need to think like I do
just want to talk?
I'm all ears
no one needs to feel alone
I wish to do my part
get to know the hearts of others
I've been damaged
done a bit of damaging of my own
realized we're all human
different but beautiful in our ways
want to do less judging
and more listening
maybe others will be inspired to do the same

"all the world can be my brothers and sisters" such a great outlook. Family is so important and when you are challenged with possibility of losing someone who is most dear to you, you are reminded of this all to strongly. I really enjoyed what you wrote.

Family is grown, not born. I'm a firm believer in that philosophy. Blood is not all required for family. Indeed, many a blood-family has been more disconnected than a jigsaw puzzle missing pieces. I'll be holding on to this one, please and thank you

Just from the stuff I’ve already read of yours, it is obvious that you are a badass that gives zero fucks. I mean you GIVE a fuck — like about people and animals and stuff, but in my opinion, you don’t give a good gotdamn about what anyone thinks about you, and I love that shit.
This one shows your massive heart. You are so intense, and your writing really resonates with me. Please don’t ever stop writing, and PLEEEASE don’t ever stop being exactly who the fuck you are — which is STELLAR.

That's an amazing comment. Thank you very much. I been writing since I was very young. I wouldn't know how to stop. I'm a pretty straightforward kind of person. I don't believe in filtering my feelings or censoring. It makes me happy when people understand me.
