Image for the poem Living Our Dance

Living Our Dance

We danced and then we took a bow
The streets below all quiet now
But rhythms still swam in our heads
In perfect dance our bodies wed

We sat together to share red wine
We laughed and sang as we dined
While looking into her brown eyes
The poet spoke into our lives

“From emotions of excess comes our art
Out of loneliness we fill our hearts”
I touched her cheek and felt a wave
What was it that our bodies craved?

From noisy streets her beauty came
Arrows struck me with piercing aim
Again the poet said, “Take a chance!
Don’t hold back, live your dance.”

Our agile bodies then embraced
A growing passion held in space
Our costumes quickly reduced to skin
It seemed that love was ours to win

Nails against my sides as she did slow splits
Pressing me softly against her tits
She looked up, then kissed me with smiling lips
Then wrapped me warm in her thirsty sips
