Going All In

There is a risk with gambling
That we all recognise
You have to take a chance
If you want to win the prize.

What you must consider
When you place the bet.
Is what you're gonna risk
Better than what you might get?

The sensible reaction
Is to hedge your bets
Have something to save ya
When your plans are wrecked.

Dip your toes in the water
And have a little flutter
Or even fifty fifty
If you want to go farther.

But not many gamblers
Will ever go all in
Risking everything
On a card, a coin, or spin.

There is a well known trait
Called the gamblers fallacy
It makes you over confident
And skews the way you see.

It makes you far too risky
And leads to boom or bust
It makes you feel sickly
And nauseous to your guts.

Not everyone likes the exposure
They see it as a danger
But sometimes you get closer
When you risk it with a stranger.
