Let your spirit be the leader;
then your languid flesh will give in.
Flesh, you are a mere good vassal
when sublime is your soul's mission.

Greatest persons have the spirit
that can't live for worldly matters.
It observes beyond lhe limits
of the flesh that toils and mutters.

But the spirit is so stubborn
when it sees a charming vision.
It discerns a sight from heaven;
no flesh pain can make it listen.
