I don't write lofty tomes
for the ears of long
dead gods and
deaf future
poets

I don't write words that
scream in metaphor
because it sounds
cool

I don't write about the
souls sacrifice that
poetry demands,
let someone else
drink the hemlock

I write about shit houses
covered with human
blood

and that's a good enough
of a fuck you to the
poetic world for
me
