The Night She Went to Space
Her eyes flutter
Like a camera shutter
Capturing her moment
in the back of her mind
She's the flair for her own dramatic
Her mother's result
of something traumatic.
Her thoughts are like static
scattered like stars
As she plucks the stitches
from each and every scar.
Her tongue is tied
by a handful of lies
'Cause times have been tough
and she's had enough.
The time has come
She grabs the gun
And mumbles a final farewell.
A bullet to her face
As she blasts off into space
A one-way ticket out of her hell
Like a camera shutter
Capturing her moment
in the back of her mind
She's the flair for her own dramatic
Her mother's result
of something traumatic.
Her thoughts are like static
scattered like stars
As she plucks the stitches
from each and every scar.
Her tongue is tied
by a handful of lies
'Cause times have been tough
and she's had enough.
The time has come
She grabs the gun
And mumbles a final farewell.
A bullet to her face
As she blasts off into space
A one-way ticket out of her hell
