I Miss You
I miss you
I never laid my eyes on you
I don't know if I ever really knew you
But the you that you let me know
I miss that you
I needed you
Maybe I still do
But I was afraid
So, so afraid
Tonight, though, as memory replaces present
I hear the timber of your voice
And my heart aches
As only mourning, forgotten hearts can
I miss you
Though you will never know it
I miss you
And it hurts
I never laid my eyes on you
I don't know if I ever really knew you
But the you that you let me know
I miss that you
I needed you
Maybe I still do
But I was afraid
So, so afraid
Tonight, though, as memory replaces present
I hear the timber of your voice
And my heart aches
As only mourning, forgotten hearts can
I miss you
Though you will never know it
I miss you
And it hurts
