Bauhaus:
Beauty
and
Function
together.
The fundamental forms
of shapes
of Art:
Ye
llow
Triangle
Red
Squ
are
Bl
e u
l e

By knowing this
by relearning the basics
enables design for eternity.
These are the red, yellow, blue bricks
that are constantly built upon
even though such foundations
had a shaky history;
events shook to shake them
but the movement merely moved on
with momentum beyond the shattering of the earth.

Viddax I'm foggy on my Bauhaus art history, I know it's applied in design, furniture, architecture and art. I remember very modern looking black circle with a face....
It was a school of , Art? Not architecture correct? Focusing individualism in the mass produced. Early to mid century...with heavy influence on modern art and architecture ... I minored and hope I'm right.
If so, this is a brilliant metaphor.
That even in the basic and wide spread reaches of influence ..we can remain ourselves.

I have to admit that you seem to know more about the topic than I do; I only watched a documentary on BBC Iplayer before writing this!
As far as I know Bauhaus was a school of Art, although for Walter Gropius the founder architecture was the best expression of Art.
Still trying to get the triangle, square and circle to play ball and be visually obvious.
From various political pressure Bauhaus physically moved from Weimar to Dessau to Berlin, but the aim and style (the idea) also moved on in time. Though, yes, the Nazis shattered the earth with their brutish impact but Bauhaus has influence even today.
