Whispers from afar
Sullen memories like floating balloons
Hover in gentle breezes
There, never quite gone
Infinite shade of grey
Emotions bubbling under
Little tears trickle
Tiny streams staining skin
Slowly losing self
Fading behind noise
It cuts deep
Unreasonable doubt
Slicing through the faltering heart
Each beat a sob
That reveals soul
