Rise Up!
In Spring new life
rises from the ground
no longer in seeds are bound
from beneath the soil
they with purpose burst
to provide beauty
sustenance to earth
During this time of frightening pandemic
a world of people is confined to their homes
may caring and love be in all endemic
compassion will help other rise from their woes
the agape seed planted deep in each soul
takes root, into glorious sunlight emerges
new tendrils twine round electrified waves
connecting with those in their houses entombed
from depression, loneliness, anxiety rescues
