All I Asked
And when I fell in love
What did I ask of the world?
Everything and anything within my grasp
I swore I’d try
To get her the sun, the moon and stars
I vowed to climb the highest mountains
And drink the oceans dry
Emotions ran fast and high
I screamed loud amidst a crowd
But nobody heard
Yet between stolen kisses and glances
I knew she felt the same way too
We just didn’t say the words
I’m sorry I didn’t wait
The days of our youth are gone
But when I look in the broken mirror
The scenes are still there
Bittersweet memory
What we shared was beautiful
Until the day I disappeared

That was a sad one, Wally. It begs for a second story to give us readers closure that permeates the ending. A very powerful NaPo offering.

Thank you Johnny. Yes there is more to the story, but I think in the end we all found happiness. Some paths are bound to cross.
