SEARCHING

They come to me
as if I know
which path to take,
which way to go.

They ask me to rid them
of doubts and fears,
relieve their pain,
dry their tears.

Their questions are varied
and seem never ending,
I wonder quite often about
the messages I'm sending.

I tell them "I am but a guide,
what you do is for you to decide.
deep within lies the way to go,
something only the Self can know."

Yet still they search the outside
always hoping they can find,
the answers to the questions
held deep within their mind.
