I picked up a dying butterfly off the pavement today
and left it in a flower bed
knowing it couldn't understand or appreciate

Perhaps the butterfly didn’t understand your action but for me, that act of kindness and compassion speaks volumes to your character. Makes me wish and hope I exhibit actions with that much grace. Lovely write H🌷

What a lovely gesture. To just "give" is one of the most difficult things a human can do; it's contrary to the human nature of wanting a return for the effort. Yet our spiritual nature is so much deeper and stronger, and fuels us so much more when we demonstrate it through kind actions.

That was very beautiful, and thoughtful of you. I did the same thing actually after finding a perfectly intact Tiger Swallowtail outside of a restaurant in town where I live. It's good to know that there are others who take the same care when it comes to life.
