Couldn’t Make You Want Me

When I first laid my eyes on you I was hypnotized by everything about you from your hair to your beautiful soft complexion to your lean built to your lovely mocha colored eyes.
Everything about you from the moment I saw you was a work of art as you had my heart jumping for you.
I wanted you, but alas I wasn’t sure if you’d feel the same way too so I kept it quiet for awhile.
As I got to know you my heart was aching while my thoughts were racing over whether or not you’d feel the same way so I thought carefully over whether or not I should tell you how I felt about you when finally one day I decided to listen to my soul instead of my head as I revealed what I really felt to you but after so much anticipation and paranoia you tell me you already found someone else.
After hearing those words my heart shattered in two for a part of me understood and needed to move on, but the other part of me was crying inside and was asking why did you choose her instead of me?
What made her more special than me? and most of all why not me?.
As I try to shake off what you said you still confuse me with everything you do from the things you say to the way you comfort me I feel so unsure how about you.
I want you, but I can’t have you so I know deep down inside I must move on even though you are everything I look for and want to be with forever and forever more.
However I know I couldn’t make you want me.
