when the body stopped
and my mind
was not even one bright second
going up
and out
but still almost me
spun out, then
as though expanded
and the spark wind borne
and everything
just ash and feathers
and then lighter
still
and not trickle
nor breeze
nor full
nor empty
but finally warm,
rapturous
just before the light went out

Wow. An amazing thought at just how fragile human life can be altered- permanently. “and not trickle
nor breeze
nor full
nor empty“ this stanza is a great idea of that non feeling out of body experience. Excellent metaphor for the re-telling. A stark and powerful reminder to cherish the not so good as well as the good days because one just never knows. H🌷

Very thought provoking, Jav. The overall essence I get is that of a spirit content with whatever comes next on the journey.

Many thanks, Johnny, for reading and commenting. I was thinking of the moment of death when the body shuts down and consciousness fades. The struggle is over -- I like to think it's a peaceful moment. I've given up trying to decide what comes next. Maybe nothing.
