In The Thicket of Blah
The banality of every little thing
is starting to get to me
its always the same, same, same,
but then I remember I hate change,
and its back to ruminating about
all the same, same, same.
is starting to get to me
its always the same, same, same,
but then I remember I hate change,
and its back to ruminating about
all the same, same, same.

Coffee spots are the best! I love the circularity of this, nikki. It's strange how we hate change and yet crave it at the same time.

Wishing difference and having difference. Two directly opposed psychological states. Well written nik.

I like the way that on the surface, this poem reads as if it's about nothing but looking deeper into the undergrowth, there is definitely a feeling of despair here.

The comfortable sound, and the bog and gray of Groundhog Day. There's security in that, just being a part of the waves
