His Penitentiary of Pain....
With only a mere glance and without intent on his part, it's visible.
He tries best to push what's sullen beneath the surface of notice.....
But his language of gesture grabs hold,
pulling my empathic heart strings into a weakened state.
Within the reflection of his reciprocal smile, I see such force behind the curved expression...
My wine stained lips to his, I'd seal with inhebriating sips of eternal
happiness.
A million sorrows, he tries to conceal beneath the lids of his eyes...
I'd crawl inside his psyche and build a village of pyre;
turning worries into ash of forgotten evanescence.
In the timbre of his voice, there dwells hesitation ...
I'd traipse through his wilderness soul, chasing each demon through filters of streaming light.
If only to heal his tribulations so easily,
I'd lay down my life as he would of my own....
But instead, I'll serve a life sentence in his penitentiary of pain;
our demons dancing side by side with cyanide smiles.

I honestly just came out of the shadows to actually post something and thought it kinda fit the bill for the Valentine's comp, so what the hell, just give it a go...

I have missed you Pandy! 🌷💜 This is a beautiful, melancholy, powerfully romantic piece that paints a portrait of genuine, throuh-thick-or-thin devotion. I love this passage, "chasing each demon through filters of streaming light." Bravisima!

Re: Re. His Penitentiary of Pain....
If by chance you do peek in or haven't truly left, hopefully this message isn't written to go unnoticed. I have some faith since your account is still open.
Those tears have returned, just as your words of encouragement helped me want to return. Didi, I feel like my heart is still in my gut. I went to visit your work, still astonished English wasn't your native language, so pumped to read from one who gave so much promise that happiness & unity could still exist HERE, and I couldn't read past the first dreadful write. I hang my head, that you too, had your hunger for DUP stripped by stumbling upon our hidden evils. The evil that has driven TOO many away.
If you do read this & the comment I left with yours, please find some hope & return soon. Perhaps a slight break to absorb the shock. We got this & I need you, many need you! Your kindness with me will never be forgotten. You brought me home, let's both stay awhile.;)
Love, Pandy💖

And from the shadows, a masterpiece of that quiet admiration that is the antidote of a million sorrows. A very powerful piece, indeed. Quite the gift you dropped after such an absence.

Your words of appreciation are like a healing balm, T. I back stepped a bit, but it's time to build ourselves back up around here, to come united again. A quick glance while playing catch up seems like it's needed. I think I'll stay awhile and get comfy again. We'll even make like a "Willow" tree is still standing tall amongst us.♡

I have been more intermittent than I once was. The landscape always seems to change, but it was truly awesome to see you pop up again. Yes, get comfy awhile.

Wow a sublime and awesome poem indeed. Great vocab and there are words like traipse and evanescence that I also like to use in my poetry too. Nice to read your muse again.
Pls Pleez do comment my newest poem too, as interaction via comments is cool I feel and thoughts are best written.

A Valentine’s Day poem on the side of love that is so often overlooked. Sacrifice sometimes means shared suffering which your poem illustrates in stark shades of reality.

Indeed. Sacrifice is the perfect word. We both have had many ephinanies and see eye to eye, standing United like never before. We see our blessings and that makes life so much damn sweeter.❤
Thanks, John. Pandy hugs. Xxx
