SHAM - an august lyric on false
I felt alive the moment I closed
my eyes to fate !
I meticulously reflect on those
Happy days ..
We created memories playing
Insouciantly in our cozy upholstery
Telling stories and making promises
To ever be happy no matter what fate
Life brings us ..
These words would make me ask with
fear Commander do you wanna leave me ?
Never did he give a Yes or No to this
question, but he would always sit closer to
me at this moment in our warm sofa,
Take my two cold hands and rest on his
two cheeks, looked straight into my eyes with love,
and after a while he would give me a satisfying
hug,I felt fragile but strong in his embrace
The easy repeated beat of his heart and his
warm arms reaching out to hold me strong to
his body gave me real comfort..
Then he would break the silence with his regular
aphorism I quote;
" A slodiers life is a ransom paid for his people's hostage
It is left for fate to decide at which dawn he will fall"
After many words and life teachings from him,
I sometimes doze off, while he continued to read
numerous poems and fictions to guide my weary
soul ..
I can recall him reading out the words
of - Christian D to be the last in
in memory of him..the book quotes
" Promise yourself to be happy that
nothing can disturb your peace of mind..
Look at the sunny of everything and make
your optimism come through..
Forget the mistakes of the past and press
on to the greater achievements of the future
Give so much time to the improvement of
yourself that you have no time to criticize others,
live in the faith that the whole world is on your side
as long as you are true to the best that is in you" ..
Commander served his whole life in the dark blues
Up to the rank of a Captained senior officer in the
United States esteemed Navy, before he went down
the polar..
The woeful news of his fall .......
my eyes to fate !
