Poem #12
You have to transform your mind
to think differently.
Sleeping isn’t as easy as it used to be.
If you focus deep inside yourself
you will understand everything is a mystery.
If you don’t change the way you think
then your emotions will go down and
they will die just like a rose that withers
from the ground.
Mute the lyrics and listen to the sounds.
Thinking outside the box takes skill
but then you can decipher between fake and what’s real.
They don’t want you to think like this
robots or machines, everyone thinking the same
they don’t want you to achieve total bliss
you are not at fault though, and they are to blame.
Fight back, its our new revolution
it begins with our minds that is the solution.
The mind is mightier than swords
It captivates and can take over the world.
If you are weak then the words of others will capture you
but, if you are strong and change your concepts
and transform your mind into one of the chosen few;
then they can have no control over your mind.
FIGHT BACK, FIGHT BACK, FIGHT BACK it is time.

I like that line "Sleep isn't as easy as it used to be," it's a bit like a unwilling personal insight in what's meant to be this serious abrupt speech.
And the whole thing reminds me of speech Tyler makes in Fight Club, you know?

i love fight club and chuck paulinek in general, but i never imagined tyler when writing this but now hat you've mentioned i can easily see the comparison, maybe there is tyler in all of us
