STAYING IN BED FOR PEACE

I'll "stay in bed for peace":    
my tensions I'll release    
in acts of making love    
to my beautiful Dove.    
    
I'm not going to war    
for White House warrior    
who didn't get to 'Nam    
when called by Uncle Sam.    
     
They who have most treasures    
no doubt keep their pleasures:    
I"m richer than I need    
in arms of my bed steed.    
     
We're trying to 'get caught',    
knowing that life's too short -    
and will be shorter still    
if I'm sent to the kill.    
     
We want to get it on,    
not join Armageddon;    
we'll get affirming life,    
me and my wedded wife.    
     
I say to Orange Face    
"How else can you replace    
people you're proud to lead    
when war their ranks will bleed?"
