Since you used prayer earlier in such a short piece, it stands out more as a sore thumb upon rereading. I would suggest altering it to

"a child's  
wish"

I agree. Sleep can be an elusive beast.

Yeah, cause I never would have normally used prayer twice like that in ANY poem ( one of my personal rules). Just goes to show you what lack of sleep can do to a person.  Good catch Mr Blaze, and thanks.
This sleep-phase shit better knock it off soon.
