The feelings are there
They haven't faded away
The journey hasn't ended

Its lonely echoing beat
Pretending don't change the circumstances

What I love about this is the admission, AP. You're fully accepting your feelings without denying their presence. You're sitting with them, listening to them, feeling their affect on you; however, you are not begging, nor pleading for change. You're not slamming the door in their face nor denying their existence. In doing so you are walking through them - accepting that for now they are a part of you.
