in my dreams

completely remember
my ebony
At our ledge
You cared for me
gently bending
our knees
swinging our limbs
into the breeze

Nearly awake
You’re still with me
from afar
close-by in my sleep

i couldn't sleep
and this spill was in my head
and while i tried to get to sleep
i found myself singing these words

For some odd reason
lately,
lots of my spills come from my dreams
from me trying to sleep
and my waking dreams.
I suppose this is a normal thing for writers ?

I love it. it's great and I relate with the sleep stuff. And yes, the dream periods our minds are more open to creativity. Go with it, sometimes you get some wicked stuff that comes out onto the paper
