A truer saying never coined since most politicians are simply weather veins chasing the most votes they can get from the most reliable sources.... at least with a representative democracy we get to see the mirrored reflection of both sides of the aisle chasing power

to me they are merely actors on the stage
there are forces behind the scenes I believe
affecting the current political climate
undercurrents of darkness
but I believe when it becomes too much
there are those of light who will intervene
if nothing else to save their own asses
should we get too froggy with the nukes...

Indeed, our government is just as rotten as we are, yet The People are surprised and seem freshly outraged by their actions every time. Nice write Takis.
