Autumn Voices - A Dream

Autumn Voices - A Dream

Old house with doors to the past
Where the collective dream
Forms a group living for offbeat humanity
Our personas find asylum
Amongst faded wallpaper rooms
And my priestess of emotional healing
Sits upstairs after a days supervision
So I enter her space in need of nostalgia
After gathering my own rosebuds
“My depression is slowing me down.
Like molasses on a cold winter day.
I’ve been neglecting my chores.”
She unlocks an attic door
Into a roofed in reality
Where photo albums hold the key
To old days not forgotten
And from one book music sings
An old sentimental tune
In the company of autumn voices
Of an adopted family
Along with bread and butter
Shared where love is no stranger
