Paradise lost

This love is broken and it's splintered
Torn between the cold shoulders
empty tables
and even colder dinners
A Household Winter in suspension
Is it us or the ice causing these bitter intentions
It's Paradise lost beneath the grip of opposite opinions
I swear only love like this could survive in fables
But Aesop couldn't write a more blurry ending if he was able
Fending off the scorpion riding on my back
But I've got no room for attack
 
 
She digs in and I collapse
