Dearest Convenience

How did you make my life so damned busy?
Did I have today in mind as a wish in my freshman year?
I wanted you for simpler things.
An illuminated watch face,
so I could read ink in the dark, without turning on the big light to disrupt a perfect setting.
The first time experience of pizza delivered to the front door.
A special event.
You were a pretend celebrity!
King for the evening!
Now look how you've blossomed over the years.
Now everyone is in love with you!
We can't get enough of you!
We're addicted to you.
Infinitely insatiable
Blissful and blind
Ironically convenient

Author's Note
The rapid expansion of the imagination that has transpired throughout society and worldwide is mind blasting (from the view just above my nose). The momentum of the drive to always strive for new discovery in the utmost comfort money can buy is so busy that I often feel as if the axis is going to not only break but fly from its molten hinges in oblivion at mach 66. If it does, I wanna be on THAT flight. But I'm certain no meal will be served and I'd have to bring my own synthetic peanuts! XD
