Can you force discretion
The hammocks seams corrode
As
The open arms of mass correction
Embrace
Your safety net exposed

A perception characterized delusive
Spectacle damnation wax again
Policies implemented intrusive
A thought once sane now makes you unmend

Thoughtless use of a messiah puppet
disengage our gaze means of a ghastly end
A faux freedom visage to stuff it
The depression in your head is their track to defend

Now in their prison as a lab rat
you'll be poked, prodded, punctured forced unhumble
Become the creature your pursuing
In the year truth dies applause arise

The flesh is cleaved from freedom
Cause freedom is obsolete
And attached to the thriving corpse
Of ease to compete

Somehow there's bliss in the world we've made
so someday soon all will simply fade

Judging by the title this is inspired by the book or this could be based on your personal experience from the year 1984. (Although im leaning towards the first thought). I like th first stanza and how the hammock seams blends well with the metaphor of "safety net". As well with the "thoughless use of a messiah puppet" and "faux freedom visage to stuff it". Densely written, Good job
