When Your Heart Breaks

Tears spill from your eyes as he silently walks away
Leaving you alone in the pouring rain like a movie scene
Though it's not a movie scene it's reality and it's happened to you
You've been lied to and you've been played a fool
Sobbing as you come through your apartment door dripping wet
Seeing you brown eyes baby girl you only cry harder
The baby girl you had mad together who no longer has her father
He walked away because he simply did not want to stay
When your heart breaks it's hard to look upon a happy face
Throwing things at the pictures on your wall
Waking that baby you begin to cry even more
Picking her up and sobbing "I'm sorry baby girl I'm so sorry"
She doesn't understand but you can not help but feel
Hopeless heartless broken and useless
Once she's back to sleep you slip into the shower
That sad song melody plays and your crying on that cold cement floor
When you heart breaks it breaks hard
