Thank you, Rose. Humans truly are the biggest threat to the planet and life on and within it.

It's crazy the people who cut their own nose to spite their face, isn't it, BB?
Thank you.

That is very true, Tim. There are so many issues that no one even thinks about until it becomes personal to them.
Thank you.
Thank you.

This oozes and burns with so few words. It's truly live. This aches as my spirit does over our burning Earth.

I laugh at this powerful haiku A because I am travelling thru a temporary moment of depression and misanthropy...we humans are a rapacious creature for sure.

Thank you, my friend. If I do not laugh at times I will lose my mind; medicine to our souls. Much appreciated.

The way we care for the earth shows how much we care for ourselves. Powerful write my dear.

Thank you, Kitty. It was once written that you could determine a man's character by how he treated animals - same with the earth too.

Dear A,
I can’t fib- when I saw the title Amazon the online shopping mecca came to mind. I was like “oh, cool A shops there too!”
Such a simpleton.
Then I pieced together what was actually being written.
You eloquently scream truth here. As a whole we really do seem to be destroying ourselves and the planet very quickly with self entitlement, disrespect and rudeness. Where does it stop? How did it unravel? Or was it always like this and social media has made it more evident?
Thought provoking and great write! H🌷

LOL @ Amazon!
Therapist: And what do we say when we're feeling depressed?
Me: Add to cart?
Therapist: No.
:D
You ask some great questions, H. According to history a portion of mankind has always been greedy and self-serving. I honestly don't know if it can be stopped - but I give gratitude for the warriors out there trying to make things better. Social media has definitely by-passed government and media by connecting people directly. Mind you fake news is still rampant; however, at least now there are avenues of investigation that didn't exist decades ago.
Thank you muchly. Truly appreciate your caring for our planet.

I read today that DiCaprio donated 5 Million to the cause. Hopefully that will get other celebrities started.

I think you captured the meaning of what's happening with the image and so few words. Most of us are posting on social media to bring awareness to everyone else, but this piece, although beautiful it's also a scary/sad message.
Excellent piece Ahavati.

Thank you, Wally. I am so relieved to see millions of dollars are being donated to combat this. As sad as this is - it does restore my faith in humanity. Like Mr. Rogers said, "Always look for the helpers."

Honestly one of the first visual poems I’ve come across and I’m impressed with the way you made this.
