the road to heaven
♪a rhymed, mirrored octet♪
i w i s h i were a l i t t l e bird
that knew the road to heaven
for when the sun is set
and the world lies still
i would t r a v e l
on a star
to my
rest
lest
my cry
strays afar
may the marvel
of my Father’s Will
relieve me of earth’s debt
for when i am f o r g i v e n
i’ll fly home like a l i t t l e bird
