Runner's High

This is the damage of a one pound gain during off peak runny season does to the body.. mainly the buttocks..:-(

Training in snow, early morning rains
Sneakers are now in rebellion, without any muscular pain
One pound gained as I persistently train
Plataea isn’t moving
New York night lifestyle all its doing

Going backwards by a mile, correction two
Creole, Kosher, and too much wine and French food
Time, with no accountability has stolen by groove
My pace, my time, my fast gunning moves
Must get back on course, for a runner’s sake
Where mind is clear, spiritual endorphins overtake

Wind felt at my back
Running always places me back on track
Today is the day, I will stand tall
Giving one hundred percent of dedication, if not, I fall
Not in grace
But if today was the real race
My heart would not be in the right place

This poem is my motivation
To get my heart back to timed palpations
No more detours or mental strings stipulations
Eyes, on the sparrow of listening to a runner’s starting gun

Author's Note
I have to cut back on everything according to my trainer, as of today... no more real food, I already live off tofu, soy meals, Greek lite yogurt and bottled Fuji water, must I starve again off vinegared cucumbers, protein shakes, and soy milk to get me back to my BMI from last year, I live in New York... give me a break, please
