Unattended Conversations

The perspective changes
When you go through such big phases
A quick movement taking you away
Leaving with a thousand questions
For the ones behind left to face the unkind world
I hope you didn't regret during your final breath
I hope you laid there with some good memories

I didnt know you much
But i wish you had stayed
Until your time was here

I won't be questioning your decision
I am not thinking of you in a bad way
But you have left me with a strange feeling
Every thought feels altered and heavy
Along with you, i wish i could bury
These unattended conversations
I am so sorry for everything you had to face

Honestly, I can't help but think
The final moments in that open field
Did you feel so very alone?
Did you hope for a savior?
Were you looking around for something to keep you?
It gives me chills to think of things
You might have had in your hazy head
Nothing about this is okay

But i won't be questioning your decision
I am not thinking of you in a bad way
But you have left me with a strange feeling
Every thought feels altered and heavy
Along with you, i wish i could bury
These unattended conversations
I am so sorry for everything you had to face

Now just hoping you'd find the eternal peace
You probably hoped to see
I wish it gets easy
I wish it is easy

Author's Note
I recently lost an uncle to suicide. I wasn't close to him though but it still has been a huge thing. A very heavy thing. RIP Uncle Q.
