A Dare
I can run marathons, I can climb high,
I can build towers right up to the sky,
I can herd cats (there’s no need to ask why),
Just don’t try to tell me I can’t.
I’ll make a robot to do all the chores,
I’ll build a go-kart that’s faster than yours,
It might give me headaches or bruises or sores,
But don’t ever tell me I can’t.
A wall is a challenge I can’t wait to smash.
I’ll take your nay-saying and burn it to ash.
If you give me dog crap I’ll turn it to cash,
But don’t you dare tell me I can’t.
My dreams are too big for your logic to find.
Reality’s busted – let’s leave it behind!
The best way to be sure that I’ll blow your mind?
It’s simple – just tell me I can’t.
