Just spending time

My kids climb upon my shoulders
We talk of the wonderful things in nature
So inquisitive and smart i love to hear
My wife laughs as we go "Girls let you father rest"
I motion to tell her they are fine
As we reach the pond i squat to let them down
In my head i know ill never catch a fish
Ill be busy baiting and casting
I wont complain though im loving their conversations
Celestial speaks of a boy whom has a crush on her
Im not happy but i wont show her
I merely state he must meet us several times
I wont say no but i wont agree til i know he has your best interests at heart
She smile and thanks me for not threatening harm
But im still struggling with when she got old enough to notice boys
I wont tell them the age old lines of nun hood or never
Just try my best to let them know hes not there cause they need him its their choice
