s k e l e t o n s,
these my brothers
o n the side of life!
for a drink o f w a t e r,
silent lips too faint to bleat.
passersby with eyes averted,
noses flared, heads elevated,
missing not a measured beat.
pleasures they pine after,
like a c a r v i n g k n i f e,
cut o f f o t h e r s
f e a s t i n g on
dowered
bins.
