♪a rhymed, mirrored octet ♪
your children are God’s heritage,
provoke them n o t to anger.
whoso sets stumbling blocks
for their i n n o c e n c e
s h a l l be b e t t e r
drowned at sea,
b o u n d by
c h a i n s.
p a i n s
t h a t d r y
on their cheeks
are like f e t t e r s
that bring recompense
when time ticks out its clocks.
expose them not to d a n g e r,
else you will reap the sword’s sharp edge.

It is much more than a pleasant memory; it's an everyday experience. I would say after years in the field, my faith has deepened into an all-encompassing Spirituality accepting of many paths and merging truths. It grows daily in trust and belief, only inward vs outward now. We can stumble around in the dark lighting candles and lanterns to see; or, we can illuminate our self as the light we are through practicing faith through disciplines of truth and trust.
Global warming and plastic pollution are very high on my list of concerns right now. Those of us blessed with children and grandchildren need to truly attempt making an impact toward positive change. Then pass it along to them via recycling, gardening, and the principals of generosity and kindness.

When I think of it, I realise I could sense that evidence of robustness in your expression of spiritual ideas. Your experience brings a certain authority and levelheadedness that come shining through.
My country (Jamaica) has moved in the last few months to outlaw single-use plastics, such as "scandal" bags used at the supermarkets and local vendor stalls. It's a habit that will die hard, but a bold step in the right direction. The huge merchants have tons of plastics in storage that they are not keen on dumping. There are significant fines to be levied, however, if anyone is caught violating the new law.
Bravo for your dedication to worthy causes!
