for annie

i lie by my wife's side
as i watch the illness runn through her veins
is there a god? god? nobody can save her now
the sickness.. that burnt in my brain
i tried to call no i yelled out her name
annie open up your eyes
it isn't your time
i grab her hand and kiss her cheek
without her i feel so meek
she was my beautiful rose
in a garden full of daisys
as i lie next to her being lazy
i lied so composely that any beholder
might start beholding thinking me dead
the stars shine with the light
from my beautiful annie
there is no words that i could mutter
i might as well be buried next to her
so that i can keep her spirit from harm
i'm so lost in pain that any beholder
would think me dead!
the sickness, the pain all maddened in my brain
i have drank of a water that quenches all thirst
never let it be foolish said
man has never slept in a different bed
the life dimmed away from the eyes of my wife
as i kneeled  at her feet
i prayed to the angels to cover me warm
and that they could shield us from harm
start at the sky
it glows with the love from my beautiful annie
