The might of this denial
that edgy feeling
of returning to a sociable state
after a period of isolation

Forcing myself
to walk among the masses
longing to be blissfully ignorant
to the underlying tensions
that often cripple that first step

Renouncing my need to fondle
these words into a spark
that might ignite
someone as lost in this circus
but comfortable on paper

Snapping back to reality
seems a fruitless endeavor
when the juices of variety
are so varied and plentiful
and oddly more intriguing
to satisfy what it is I crave

I gave it a couple days
only to find that isolation
compounding like a secret
that slithers in for the long haul

I've grown to love many of you
in the depths and debauchery
of our brazen refusals
to button up
and tuck away

Only few can make me rise,
and it is a cruelty to my precious self
to form into an ideal
silence the dreamer
keep these pants on
and slip into these confines
if I am never touched

Massaging my mind like this
has done wonders
every little stroke
draws me into this strange comfort
so whatever you do,
