The Genesis Of Equality

That lone apple,
caught by our gaze
surveying our arrival
in the uncertain landscape

A mutual decision
to approach
as it temptingly dangles
within our reach
our arousal evident
in the excitement
of our primitive grunts

Incriminated
by my flesh pointing skyward
many have alluded to a serpent
to be the catalyst
of a monumental movement
that has been misunderstood
since time began
