Image for the poem I love you

I love you

dying inside a hurricane
it whirls stripping away all my covering
there will be no magical happy endings
no, not for us

we were cursed the day we met
to come to this
fate is sometimes cruel
ready or not we are torn apart

I will die loving you
holding you tight to my soul
you became the biggest part of me
I know you don't want to let go

we're in the eye of the storm now
I see clearly your ice blue eyes
with a sigh and a heavy heart I let go
let the hurricane take me

shrapnel fallout assaulting my body
too damaged to save
you give me one last look
and give up on me

chaos reigns inside me
I am the cause of the storm
don't let it claim you

as another casualty
of my internal war
