Oh. Life, is too short for “punch up time” as it’s much easier to be gracious, and take the high road because when one door closes, another always opens; true !?  😎

No, "punch up time"...meaning to take writing and finalize it...to do the final improvement...to sweeten the lines...which in my case is smokey time....it is an old newspaper term...

Oh... dear; that’s most likely a generational thing for me not being aware of newspaper speech.

In my world, punch up time is related to violence... 🤷🏼‍♀️😵🤦🏼‍♀️🤐

I can see that...it was before my generation as well... American slang...it does kinda sound abrasive without context...I was a history major in college and tend to drop older phrases... however, I put my angry energy into exposing the evil of the world thru the poems...it is better served in that sense...
