I read this over a few times,the sentiments you are putting across are strong.  
In my opinion if you made a few little changes it  might make a difference to the overall read.

there is no real difference in what you are saying, most of the difference is in the presentation. I have been trying to pay attention to my own presentation recently and i think it makes a difference. of course it may be just me, but there ya are anyway.

I like the way you suggest a question that can be asked of both the subject and the person doing the observation. Even if facades, labels, and other "gestalts" are dealt with, there is an unknown element that is never eliminated. As Sting said, "Epilogue (Nothing 'Bout Me)"
