My Poseidon

When you kissed me

I could taste the saltan
sea foam on the shores of your lips.
The aroma  from the depths
of your ocean soul filled my senses

rolling over me like waves
I found myself
pulled in by
the under tow
with every caress.

I had never been
so eager to drown
until your dark waters
captivated me

Seduced  by the dangers
of what was hidden
behind your moonlit eyes
you pulled my hair

then I knew
I wanted you
to teach me
how to swim.

skin to skin
your fingers dancing over me
a melody played for me
when you whispered
In my ear, calling me

"mine"

my heart
skipping beats
wading against your tides.

you sank your teeth into my neck
and felt like holy water
I told you my confessions
you translated through
my moans.

Your bite tattooing my flesh
that night you were
my Poseidon, I worshipped you
and your darkened waters
to the bottom of your
ocean floor

Your nails like sea shells
cutting into my back
our love immortalized
In the moment
pressed against your body
You held me

I forgot how to breathe
slowly I drowned
beneath the waves
