My Choice

As I looked around the empty room
I felt a peace that was never there before
Memories of little children in their pajamas so dear
Family dinners, Bible teachings, mistletoes above the door
In my mind everything was so clear
Suddenly I heard a voice in my head,
" Don't cry, little child, I told you once, just like before
I will never leave you. I have come to save the world by dying and leaving man's tomb."
Kneeling, I knew my Lord's voice
My eyes could not see Him
But I remember as a little girl, I had made my choice.
He had promised me many years afore
That he would return one day and we would go home
"I have prepared a place for you
There will be no more sickness and death will be no more."
